CLASSES & EVENTS

Hornsby Dog Training Club offers assistance and guidance to help you train your dog to become a good canine citizen.

 

We offer positive reward based training  which involves rewarding your dogs good behaviour with treats and praise.

Puppy Class 1pm - 2pm
Introductory Class 2pm - 3pm
Class One 3pm - 4pm
Class Two 3pm - 4pm
Class Three 3pm - 4pm
Class Four 3pm - 4pm

Testing 2.30pm - 3pm for all classes

 

Rose and Anne will look after you at the club house

  • At all times dogs must be under control and on lead before and during class

  • Please do not allow your dog to approach others particularly at check in time

  • Feel free to allow your dog to run off lead after class but please ensure those who wish to leave the grounds first may do so in a safe manner before all dogs are allowed off lead

  • Classes are held every Sunday EXCEPT public holiday long weekends. Classes run from the first Sunday in February until the first Sunday in December

  • Puppy classes for new members are conducted for 4 weeks in January from the first Sunday until the last Sunday of the month at 9.30 am

  • Our Annual Christmas party is held on the 2nd Sunday of December commencing at midday

  • A free barbecue is held on the 2nd Sunday of the month (weather permitting)

Interested in Becoming an Instructor?

“We are always on the lookout for new instructors. Please see Jo if you think you have what it takes to be an instructor:  love of dogs first and foremost, good communication skills, prior trialling experience would be beneficial but not necessary and to be available most Sunday afternoons. In turn we offer no pay, poor conditions, and the chance to spend an afternoon one day a week with dogs and their owners. With lots of fun and support!
